The government has announced that there will be a lockdown due to Covid-19. We understand that this is a worrying time for families.

Under government guidance, we will remain open for all of our students. We will continue to work hard to keep the environment safe and secure for children and their families. We will keep students in their bubbles, minimise their movements around school, encourage handwashing/sanitising and many other safety measures under Public Health England guidance.

Throughout this challenging time, it’s incredibly important that you send your child to school. We don’t want your child to miss out on their education. Our teaching teams are committed to ensuring that our students and their families are supported.

If your child has a doctor’s letter saying that they have been classified as extremely clinically vulnerable and need to stay at home, please contact us.

Face coverings will be required from Thursday.

The government has said that students over the age of eleven should wear face coverings in school corridors in areas that have been placed into lockdown. As there is now a national lockdown, we will require all students to wear a face covering at all times except when in lesson; this includes entering the school site and during break and lunchtime - only to be removed when eating or drinking.

If you're purchasing a face mask specifically for school, we would suggest a plain face covering in a neutral colour. If your child is exempt from wearing a face covering due to a medical issue, please contact us.

We understand that this is a difficult time and that you may have questions or concerns. Please know that the safety of our students, staff, families and wider community is our top priority. Thank you for your ongoing support.
